Tell two: case and weight
Solid rose gold has a density that plated brass and steel cannot match. In the hand the difference is obvious, and it shows up on a kitchen scale. Check the crown and lugs for wear-through on plated examples, and look at the lug profile. The Lange 1 has straight, slightly angled lugs, not the soft curved lugs of a generic dress watch case. Buy the seller as much as the watch, because service on a replica movement is difficult and many independent watchmakers will decline the work.
