Short answer

"Fake Omega Seamaster 300 203" mixes two things. Omega does not use "203" in reference numbers. A Seamaster reference reads as nine digits in three groups, for example 210.30.42.20.03.001. The "300" names the model line: Seamaster 300, and from 2018 the Seamaster 300M Diver. Replica sellers use the phrase to cover the whole family. The gap between a genuine watch and a replica sits in four places: movement, dial, case back, paperwork.

Movement

The current Seamaster 300M runs Omega Caliber 8800, or 8806 on the no-date versions. Both are co-axial automatics with METAS Master Chronometer certification, magnetic resistance to 15,000 gauss, and a 55 hour power reserve. A replica holds a clone. Common clones are the Hangzhou 6460 and decorated ETA 2824 copies. Beat rate is the first tell. The genuine movement runs at 25,200 vph (3.5 Hz). A 2824 copy runs at 28,800 vph (4 Hz). Dial and hands

  • Laser-engraved ceramic dial with a wave pattern. The waves are cut into the ceramic, not printed on top.
  • Date window at 6 o'clock on most post-2018 300M models. Replicas often put it at 3 o'clock on a 300 case.
  • Applied indices with white Super-LumiNova. The fill sits level with the metal frame.
  • Broad arrow hands. The seconds hand carries a lollipop dot with lume.

Case, bezel, crystal

Case size is 42 mm across, about 13.6 mm thick, with 20 mm lugs. The helium escape valve sits at 10 o'clock. The bezel insert is ceramic with a white enamel dive scale. The crystal holds a small etched Omega symbol at its center, visible under a loupe in raking light. The case back uses a Naiad Lock ring with a seahorse and Seamaster engraving. Replica engraving is shallow and the font shifts.

Weight and finish

A stainless steel 300M on a five-link bracelet lands near 190 g sized for an average wrist. Replicas run 15 to 30 g lighter.
